Virtual Sandtray provides the capability to take screenshots within the program. When the user finds a view they want to capture, they simply click on the camera icon. For the screenshot, the user interface controls are momentarily hidden, so that just the tray and the models are captured.
The screenshots taken by Virtual Sandtray are stored in your gallery or camera roll, depending on your tablet operating system. This is a familiar interface, from which you can send or share the picture. You can share, edit or delete the picture.
The iPad also provides the capability itself to also take screenshots. Simply press the menu and power button at the same time, which will yield a picture in your gallery.
Android based tablets also provide the capability itself to also take screenshots. Simply press the volume down button and power button at the same time, which will yield a picture in your gallery.
Screenshots taken from within Virtual Sandtray are in industry standard PNG (Portable Network Graphics) format.
